A HeartfeltThank You

photoHeart Auction a big success

by Taylor Timberlake

A special thank you to all who came out and supported the Heart Auction last week at Eagle Nest and Cimarron High School. Fifty-seven hearts were designed by staff, students and community members and artists from both Cimarron and the Valley to help raise money for much needed art supplies for the schools. The hearts, the brain child of art specialist, Ray Lujan Gaytan, were cut by CHS shop students.

"We were very pleased with the outcome," said CHS Art teacher, Tanya Kordis. "We want to thank all the artists who participated and the generous community who came out and purchased every one of the fifty-seven hearts we had on display."
